Easter and More...

Saturday Night: Every Saturday night out here they do a live lottery draw on TV. Navdeep, Sanjay, and I were sitting there watching it and we gave Sanjay the lottery ticket to hold and to check the numbers as they were drawn. Well right before the draw they were talking about some new upcoming things, well Sanjay wasn't impressed!! All of a sudden he scream, "Oh come on man!! Hurry up!!" Future lottery addictee? Yes, I think so!! lol, well to be fair, we did tell him that if we won, we'd go buy everything in Toy's R Us!! He was excited!! Soon Sanjay was off to bed and I played Easter Bunny and filled some plastic eggs with goodies and hid them!! That was an entertaining morning!! We decided not to colour eggs this year because it is so hard to find white eggs out here and the ones you do find are expensive because they are duck eggs but I don't think the boys really cared!! Candy in plastic eggs is so much better!

Sunday: During the Easter weekend and much through the month of April, they hold a "Fun Fair" at our local park so we decided to take the kids there on Easter Sunday. The weather was ok...not great but not perfect, all I can say is I'm glad it wasn't raining! It apparently had rained the whole night before because the entire part of the fair grounds was mud!! And I'm not talking just hard kind of wet mud, I'm talking the most gooey wet mud and when you step in it, you sink!! Gross!! We came home covered!! But hey, we had fun!! The boys are whimps though!! They have a relatively small roller coaster/haunted house ride called "Ghost Train" and we couldn't even get the boys to ride on that with me!! They wouldn't even look at it! It was rather funny because Sanjay would cover his eyes as we walked past it tripping the whole way!

As usual, I forgot my camera so here is a very grainy pic taken from a mobile...ENJOY!

Tomatos, tomatos, and more tomatos...

Well, I decided it was time to take the plunge and start my tomatoes from Grandpa's "Beth" seeds!!! I am rather nervous about them surviving...needless to say, my fingers are crossed much along with everything else that can be crossed!! Grandpa, I could really use your help right about now!! This whole planting thing must really be stressing me out because since the day I started to think about finally getting my tomato plants started, I began to have dreams about Grandpa Rich. I don't think you understand that there is actually no room for error here!! Anyway, it might help if the sun actually decided to appear once in a while and contribute to my success!! This picture is what I have to compete with!! This was Grandpa's last tomato harvest...summer 2009! Sure do miss you Grandpa!
